ABOUT MAARTEN

Three years ago, I was pursuing a career I wasn't passionate about, which left me feeling unhappy and unfulfilled. Throughout this time, and for most of my life, exercise was my escape. I could always rely on the challenges it provided to pick me up whenever I felt down. The more I exercised and overcame those physical challenges, the happier I became. It was clear that I had to make changes in my career, and I decided to pursue one that aligned with what I truly believed in. I began that journey in 2019 by taking a risk and quitting my stable job. I worked on becoming a certified nutritionist and later received my Milo Personal Training certification, leading me to my true passion: helping others along their own fitness and wellness journey. Currently, I am studying for my BSc in Physical Therapy to deepen my knowledge even further.  

My approach 

True fitness includes mobility, stamina, strength, recovery, and mental well-being. With my clients, I focus on all five of these areas. 

 

A typical personal training session with me focuses on full-body training. In my experience, this is the most efficient and functional way of training. ​At the beginning of the session, I make time for some mobility to increase your range of motion and to help your muscles and joints ease into the session. At the end of the session, we do conditioning exercises, which help to release those serotonins and leave you feeling stronger and happier.

 

I am a firm believer in the power of exercise to completely change your life for the better, and I am with you every step of the way.
